go to any hardware store and ask for a bolt/screw extractor. snap on makes good ones..and others..just ask them what the best is...their cheap ranging from 15-30 bucks....

I've used them before..they work great...not the brand i posted.but snap on brand...or what ever..again just ask the clerks

Rev, that is for broken heads. Kawis use inside hex sockets and strip when people don't use a torque wrench and tighten them to 2X the spec

Well he shoule be able to use an extractor. I just pick up a kit at lowes for $15 bucks that came with the drill bit and extractor.

If all else fails go with the extractor.

If you hammer in the carbide extractor available at Sears, you should be able to get that out. I have done that.

Get another bolt and I may be able to assist you at Pocono in the AM. I usually get there early too.

Getting a replacement for it in time might be an issue..

Don't ask, I was distracted by my dog who ripped her leash in half and ran after a jogger in the process of tightening the bolt.

Thanks for the advice, I worked around the problem. Turns out I don't even have to take off both Calipers to get my wheel off, just avoiding this until the track tomorrow, then ordering a new bolt and tap and drilling.

You shouldn't have to tap anything, you stripped the bolt head not the threads, correct??

I tried to PM you my cell number, clear your mailbox

Sorry I was out of focus, and I don't think I need a new camera based on the 5 MegaPixels with my canon powershot.

Kennedy, This is a common problem. Chances are you didnt strip the head all the way in. Just take the allen key and tap it down into the bolt head with a hammer. While applying pressure into the bolt head slowly turn it out.

Hope that works...
