Honestly, Nick, I could barely make it .5 miles. But I just kept pushing it everyday until I got stronger. Within a month I was doing 10.

Looks like i may be bike browsing in the very near future. Any suggestions on a reasonable newbie bike? Its been so long since i rode my huffy and bmx.

I would just get a beginner level mountain bike which is what I did. Unless you KNOW you will stick to road riding. In that case I'd look at the Trek's, Giant's, and Felt's.

I just updated the thread with Stage 2 updates. I may have to adjust my mileage up at this pace.
