halloween costume help
Any ideas on what I can do to keep some long hair vertical other than hair spray? I can imagine some of you would suggest going the "there's something about Mary" route, but I need the hair to remain black.
Thanks in advance!

Any type of hair wax will keep it up. If you go to the supermarket they have that morning hair crap thats a wax/mousse.
I used it for my raver spiked hair this past saturday.

for Hair wax. Another route used by punk rockers was to use dishwashing liquid. Just stay out of the rain...

the best thing is knox clear gelatin. you make it like jello and then use it. like gel. Wet your hair.. put this shit into it and bam.... it will work like glue and it washes out no problem.

a mix of flour and water makes a good paste that will work and wash out easily.

I sort of gave up on trying to get the hair to stand up, so my wife and I just used a bit of hair spray since I waited last minute to get this done. The wig by itself was pretty good.
Of course just one person at work recognized the character I was supposed to be. I was hoping for at least two! I guess I won't be winning the $500 from the contest!
I'd post pics, but I don't have the adapter for my camera here. I'll do it when I get home.
