Default Gmax GM-68s Helmet

Heard about this helmet through other forums and webbikeworld and I figured I'd give it a shot since I need a spare lid. The LEDs are kinda gimmicky but they give you a black plastic piece if you want to cover it. For $100 plus they give away a free smoke visor, I'll give it a shot. Will let you guys know how it is when I get it.

I guess it's better than nothing........but I get the feeling it will be noisy as hell and rattle.

Not my primary helmet so I prolly won't get too attached to it but from the other boards and webbikeworld's review it apparently is pretty well made and surprisingly quiet because of a standard chin curtain and plush interior. Then again I probably won't know until I get and take it out for a ride. I'll make sure to take pictures and post them.

Well I got my lid. Better than expected for a $100 spare lid. Fits better than an old KBC VR2. A tad tight by the cheeks but I expect it will pack out after a use or 2. As advertised it comes with a free smoke visor and visor bag. I took it out for a ride today and it vents a lot! This would come in pretty handy during the summer. Surprisingly quiet I think its because it's got pretty deep ear pockets. Wouldn't do a track day in these but not to shabby for a secondary street lid.

Pretty light. It's not a featherweight but lighter than the scorpion exo 700. Pretty impressive considering the vents and the LEDs. The only thing is its a DOT only helmet which is not really a dealbreaker. After the sportrider helmet test since I'm not really crazy about the SNELL cerification.
