Default egay!

So I sold this camcoreder on ebay.
5 days after the guy recieved the camcorder I get this email from him saying he found a dead pixel in the LCD and is sending the camera back and wants a refund! I never noticed any dead pixels.
I am like WTF mate?

I responded back to him telling him that the sale was final and I would not take shipment of it nor refund him his money. I have still not heard any word from him.

What happens if this thing shows up on my doorstep? Should I refuse it and have it sent back to sender?? What a pain in the ass.

Did you accept payment via paypal? If so, tell him to refute it through the proper channels, PayPal (and I think even ebay) has things setup for these situations. Tell him if he sends it to you directly it will be refused and you'll only acknowledge a verified complaint through paypal/ebay. I had to do the same shit and in the end paypal said the guy was nuts and I'm fine, don't worry about it. I never heard a peep again.

Could it have been damaged in shipping? If you're good on your word tell him sorry, but you shipped it out in tip-top shape.

Maybe it's just not want he wanted.. Or he caused the dead pixels.

Why is he being a f'ing douche, its ONE dead pixel.. thats not abnormal!

He's probably hoping that you'll be like, "sorry for the dead pixel. I really don't want to go through the hassle of reselling it, so how about I give you $50 back" or something like that? People are so anal about stuff... and it's not a single pixel will make or break it. I can see that on a television or something, but who watched the screen on a camcorder enough to care?

I had something like that happen too. I had a golf club, it broke. I sent it to the factory and they sent me a brand new one. Since I didn't like it, I sold it on ebay. The guy got it and said there are marks all over it like it's used. I said BS it was brand new. He said it wasn't, he wants $50 back (I sold it for $200). I told him to take a picture of it so I could see the "damage" and he never followed up. Also I checked his feedback and it looks like he was doing that to everyone he bought something from. Some people are real shady on ebay.

Also, with LCD's, most manufacturers don't recognize 1 dead pixel as a defect, you usually need at least 3 or 4 before they're warranty it. Just an FYI.
