Default detailing

did you ever get your bike detailed? i was washing my bike the other day and it made me wonder if there is a place that will take your bike in and give it a detailed cleaning like they do for cars. does anyone know of a place or have you ever had it done. just curious...

If you attend bike nights, people are usually there handing out their cards...I don't know of any off the top of my head. Sorry!

My shop does motorcycle detailing. Average detail starts out at about $125.00 and goes up from there depending on customer wants and needs. Most of the customers that ask for a detail are the ones who's bike has sat in the garage for 5-10 years, they want it completely gone over mechanically and detailed to look and run like the day they parked it.

I would never let anyone detail my bike. Not even half naked chicks at the studpid bike washes.

Take pride in your ride and wash it yourself.

...yea it does

every time i ride down the shore i come back with a new batch of filth on the bike in places i didnt even know could get dirty. it sux.
at one of my old jobs, there was this guy who ran a business that used to pick your car up in the morning, detail it, and have it back to you by the end of the day. i thought that was a good idea. it was a good way to spoil your car without interrupting your schedule.

One of the fundamental joys of owning a bike is being able to kill a small amount of time in the yard on a nice day cleaning your own bike especially a Ducati. I would never consider paying someone else to do it for a sport bike, even my Valkyrie which has a fair amount of painted surface and lots of chrome is something I enjoy cleaning.

You do come up with some interesting questions though. Gottawonder.....
