I tried to get one from Walmart around 10:30 last night...saw no one in electronics so I was like "COOOOL"....didn't realize they were all at layaway...line was there with like 75 people....walmart only had 47 to sell..lol. Too bad for those there since morning that wont get one.

I work at CompUSA at night so u can say I am a contact. But guess what? No xboxes to employees.
There were people waiting outside of the store at 7:30pm last night and the store opened 9 the next day 
People had chairs and everything
Only 14 xboxes were even shipped 2 the store.
U can always buy one on ebay for 1k

My wife works at Best Buy and she said the store was only allocated 15 Xbox systems, and this Best Buy is the only one in SI.

whats so special about this thing.. besides that its new.. BTW did they add more buttons to the vcontrollers ... it sliek you have to have aphd to play xbox...

Actually they did add buttons!
I'm not crazy into it, but I like new gadgets and actually use them from time to time, but I just like the new wireless controllers and the accessories, as well as the kick-ass graphics, and of course, I can't wait for HALO 3 next year.
I'm sure PS3 will do well, but since I don't feel like waiting forever to get home, I'm on the hunt! Actually I'm on the hunt also to see if it's possible for me to get it within 2 days without pre-purchase!

Wow you guys would have liked to be me last tuesday. I was at a job where they had 15 pallets of xbox 360's marked for shipping to Coscto stores.
I wish i could have just grabbed one pallet. I would be ebay rich by now.

Some friends were at Wal-mart around 7:00 p.m. Monday, and said there were already about 30 people in line for the midnight release. *sigh* And on the news yesterday morning, the showed the local Best Buy -- as cold as it was, people were wrapped around the building before 6:00 a.m.
Shoot, I want one, but I'll wait 6 months or so till the craziness wears off (though Project Gotham Racing 3 does look awesome.... )

The morning in question, the actual temp was only in the low 40's, but we had 30-40 pmh winds!!
