Well it was time to swap the rims for some race rubber that I need to put on. And just like every time I go to do it....Guess what?!! I don't have stands.

Why you ask...well because I can't afford them. So I just use a harley frame stand, sometimes a hydrolic jack for support and a tie strap. And Wallah! You have lift off !!!

Is that ok to have most of the bikes weight on the exhaust like that?

Actually its mainly the bottom of the rear shock and the edge of the kickstand for that matter, supported by a piece of wood and the metal file.

I'm getting the rear for now and down the road I will get a front. and your right. They are some $$. Little by little. I guess..

Which one you getting? The updated forward facing rear stand pitbull makes is pretty cool, saves space.

Chris,
I have an older Lockhart rearstand you can just have. I will put it in the trailer for you. Its set up for a lifting from beneath a square section swingarm like yours has. Maybe it can be modified for swingarm spools. Let me know if you want it.

Rear - Spooled/swingarm

Front later with multiple pins.

Speaking of which,,. is the pin the same on the front for 2006 R6 and a 2007 R6S ????

You know there's dozens of places on eBay that sell decent front/rear stand sets for less then $100.
