I just got done with my test ride, the ductile iron PFM rotors are terrific. A little grabby, but I also attribute that to my new Nissin radial master cylinder. I also added Ferodo soft race compound pads.
Should be great for the track now. New Motul DOT5.1 fluid and I am all set for Friday at Pocono.
This bike needed a brake upgrade and short of going for Brembo calipers and master cylinders, this was a great package.

Like the rotors, where did you pick them up and how much?

I got them barely used from someone on the web, I paid $250, but I had my dad put them on a lathe and resurface them before I threw them onto my bike, just like new.
The pads were $110, new ss braided lines $80, new Nissin radial master cylinder kit $220. Roughly $660 without new fluid.

After running the new brake setup, all I can say is WOW. I had a set of Racetecs on the bike that were on their 5th and final track day and the brakes were more than the tires had left in them. At the end of the main straight on Pocono East, the front tire was skidding from the brake pressure. I felt it was the tires giving up on me, so I ran long into the runoff area a few times since I didn't want to chance the following turn on the tire when I felt the skidding.
Pocono East is also more bumpy than ever, cars are really tearing the place up since last summer.
I noticed lots more feel in the brake lever with the new master cylinder, strange and different, but by the end of the day I was getting used to the new feel of the bike.
I am looking forward to going back to the track on July 28 for Pocono FUSA. I will have new rubber mounted and it should be great.
