Thumbs up Triumph Demo Day!

Had a nice time at the Trebour dealer. Rob, Rock, Clark and I got to try out all the new goodies. Nothing better than spending a sunny day off with friends & bikes!

I had to ride with the group to take one out, which is something I can't do at this point, so I just sat on all of them in the parking lot and made vroom-vroom noises.

I ended up riding:

Rocket III Classic - A "Muscle Bike" - a cruiser with an engine like a
locomotive, it just keeps on pulling...and handles very well for a big bike.
The transmission felt a bit "clunky", but I was told by one of
the reps who owns one that it smooths out dramatically after
break- in and an oil change. I ended up scraping the floorboards on each side...

675 - This thing is TINY - It feels very small next to my '03 GSX-R1000
and seems to be worthy of all the accolades the magazines are giving it.
A definate TWO THUMBS UP for anyone looking for
a 600 class track bike (If they can't find a new Yamaha)

Thruxton 900 - This is an retro style bike, tiny little headlight fairing,
parallel twin, 18" front wheel, looks like it came out of a 1965 catalog.
This thing is FUN FUN FUN - I thought the 675 felt small,
but this thing feels even smaller, almost like you could touch your
knees together below the gas tank while riding. It reminds me
alot of how much fun it was to ride around on the "classic bikes."
You could tear up the local roads on this thing and have a huge grin
on your face at the end of a long day, and as long as there are no
highways on your route, you'll be right there with the new bikes.
Yeah, I think I like this one alot...

CBig - Good seeing you again - Where were you for LobsterFest?

What an awesome day! For me, being a newer rider, a great chance to ride some differant bikes. I got to ride the Sprint, the Bonne, and the Speed Triple.

Up close and personal with the Sport 1000: http://www.ducati.com/bikes/my2006/d...e=SPORT1000-06

I'm taking this season off for medical reasons due to surgery, I'll be back on a brand new set of wheels in 07'.
