Question Tire selections

So lets see what tires everyone is running and /or plan on running.... Of course different sized bikes are may have better/worse experience with different tires.

I've got Pirelli Super corsa's that have seen better days... might try Michelin's, may stick with Pirelli's. I like the 180's over the 190's on my bike.

Still running the stock Bridgestones. Once those go either Pirelli Corsa/Super Corsa or Michelin Pilot Powers

I have been flirting with the idea of going to a 180 rear to aid in turn in. Did you notice a difference from the 190?

I'm a huge fan of the DUnlop 207RR's when they came out...infact, I still have an extra set that will fith the SV1Ks just nicely...

Fot the track I was using Dunlop 207 and 208 GP's...now I'm trying out the Diablo Super Corsa...6 track days and all is well so far...

What's the stock rear size? I'm surprised you don't like the Corsas, maybe it's just time for a fresh new set.

You should notice a positive difference especially on that bike, but you might have to tweak the rear suspension a bit.

OEM is 190 but I switched to 180. I do really like my dragon supercorsa's but with all the pos about the Michelin's I'm thinking of trying them out...

I think Ant went from a 190 to a 180 on 1K when he had it...said he really didn't feel much of a difference...

I def noticed a difference in drop in and how well it holds the line in a turn but that was going from OEM 190 Bridgstones to the 180 supercorsa's.

I know I loved my Metzler M1's, may graduate to the newest release of those, still running stock tires and they hold a line pretty nice, so i won't complain.

Put on a new set of Metzler RaceTec K1's this year and
these things stick like glue, but they wear out quick.
They only made it through 3 track days on my '03 GSX-R1000.
I'm trying a K2 rear and a K1 front for VIR next weekend.
I'll probably try the Michelin Power Race Mediums next.
Or maybe the Dunlop Qualifiers...
Or maybe the Sportec M3's...
Hmmmmmm.....

I had Metzler M1's until I got a flat so my buddy gave me for free a 190 off a busa (bridgestone bt046) if I recall. Well in comparison to the M1, it cant come near the levels of grip, handling, and feedback the M1's put out

Went from OEM to metzler m-1's very pleased with them so far. I know I wont get the same mileage as the bridgestones but they feel much better.
