Funny thing...

I was working the other day was in a bodega and a drunk came in with a debit card and goes "can I use my card?"

The clerk goes " No this doesn't take cards" (credit card looking swipe machine on the counter)

The drunk goes " well then what the hell is that?"

Clerk goes " Its for food stamps"

Drunk " What the fuck is this world coming to you have a food stamp machine but not a credit/debit card machine fuck"

Give them some more time!

CNN Headline News did a short news listing regarding Ford and GM`s contributions to the relief and recovery efforts in New York and Washington. The findings are as follows......

1. Ford- $1 million to American Red Cross matching employee contributions of the same number plus 10 Excursions to NY Fire Dept. The company also offered ER resonse team services and office space to displaced goverment employees.

2. GM- $1 million to American Red Cross matching employee contributions of the same number and a fleet of vans, suv`s, and trucks.

3. Daimler Chrysler- $10 million to support of the children and victims of the Sept. 11 attack.

4. Harley Davidson motorcycles- $1 million and 30 new motorcycles to the New York Police Dept.

5. Volkswagen- Employees and management created a Sept. 11 Foundation, funded initial with $2 million, for the assistance of the children and victims of the WTC

6. Hyundai- $300,000 to the American Red Cross.

7. Audi- Nothing.

8. BMW- Nothing.

9. Daewoo- Nothing.

10. Fiat- Nothing.

11. Honda- Nothing despite boasting of second best sales month ever in August 2001

12. Isuzu- Nothing.

13. Mitsubishi- Nothing.

14. Nissan- Nothing.

15. Porsche- Nothing. Press release with condolences via the Porsche website.

16. Subaru- Nothing.

17. Suzuki- Nothing.

18. Toyota- Nothing despite claims of high sales in July and August 2001. Condolences posted on the website

I can only express hope that this infuriates and sickens each of you like it did me. Whenever the time may be for you to purchase or lease a new vehicle, keep this information in mind. I ask that you choose a product made by an American-owned and based company. Apart from Hyundai and Volkswagen, the foreign car companies contributed nothing at all to the citizens of the United States. It`s OK for these companies to take money out of this country, but not acceptable to return some in a time of crisis.

At least something is (hopefully) going into infastructure, have yet to see if it will happen though. Could help me out in my line of work. Still not enough though, ours is deteriorating.

What I want to know is why the new stimulus package, which is supposed to stimulate the economy, has a majority of its funding going toward programs that WON'T stimulate the economy. I mean.. only 3 percent of the entire package is dedicated to road and highway spending... which would create jobs, stimulate the economy, etc... it seems to me that the majority of this package is a way for Obama and Nancy Pelosi to get their personal, socialist agenda passed. How the hell is setting aside $330 million dollars to prevent STDs, $50 million to go to the national endowment of the arts and $70 million for a super computer for the weather service going to stimulate our economy?

We have all been lied to... every socialist liberal agenda the democrat side has ever had is a part of this "stimulus" package... this is not a stimulus bill, it's a spending bill! We have been told that this bill is being created and passed to stimulate the economy and the numbers say otherwise... How are these items going to help fix a recession?? They aren't..

People are so giddy about Obama being in office, they're willing to throw caution to the wind without reading into this. It will be a disaster if it gets passed in this form. I think it should be scrapped, but its just my not so humble opinion.

It would be nice in this electronic era if we the people could vote on a line by line version of the bills and eliminate the pork spending by government since we can't trust our elected leaders to do it anymore.

Ken,
Obama plans to "govern by using the internet"... they are using salesforce.com to survey "the people".

I'm not sure we can trust the internet either... the internet is media.
ceo of facebook ran Obama's marketing campaign.

plenty say foxnews is crap but look at the facts.
google fixed google bomb of obama but not bush

Here's Obama's economic advisor
no "White Male Construction Workers"

I hope the libs are happy. Economy is going downhill even faster since this twisted radical is in "power".
When the people who run companies pull back, everyone else suffers.
When the people who don't pay taxes in the first place keep not paying taxes.. who gives a crap.

The people who create jobs help the economy, not creating more welfare recipients in the form of government "tax credits" to people who don't pay taxes.

It is certainly not the highest quality produced video.... but non the less... completely true.... this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to how these leftists feel about ruling your life and country.....and make no mistake, they mean too.

You will see

ps: went to the Devils/Penguins game last night......great game! DEVILS came back from a 3-1 deficit in the final seconds by pulling the goalie...and then scored in overtime for the win! Even my wife was screaming! And that new Prudential Center is REALLY NICE!
