This is my killa...he growls from time to time but is a little chicken shit...hahaha...I chases the squirrels around and one day I just want one squirrel to man up and turn around and I am almost positive little man will run just as fast scared shitless...hahahaha

Yeah large in part it is the owners who are at fault for the upbringing of the dogs and making them vicious.

Good for you Pits. Now take that money you saved on a pure breed and spoil that puppy.

Ok i take extreme offense to this statement because not all dogs...pitbull specifically are attack dogs...the only reason you hear about them is because assholes train them to do this them the media immediately turns them into this evil animal which they are not.....pitbulls are tough, very hard headed dogs, but also loving, playfull, and just as friendly as any other big powerfull dog....i have a pitbull who is not even purebred and every single person that comes to my house is scared of her for no reason at all, when realistically she is scared of her own shadow.....last weekend my 1 year old cousin was here who can barely walk and she was smacking the shit out of her(face, butt everywhere), pulling her tail, and laying all over her, lulu simply responded by licking her face maybe accidentally knocker her over a few times, and eating her hat she had on a little bit.....so when you see a pitbull there is no need to be afraid just realize that any dog can attack you and chances are that most of them will not...pitbull are simply a little more hyer and play a little rougher sometimes

One thing to add: my X has a 10 pound cockapoo who is more likely to bite you then my 70 pound pitbull is anyday of the week....and yes that cockapoo has bitten quite a few people and dogs, even her cousins 110 pound purebred pitt, who by the way didn't even growl when rocky bit him

Take it to a shelter, they'll take care of the adoption process, you don't need that hastle.

No they wont. Most shelters put down pit / pit mixes, unless that's what you consider taken care of.

It's okay girly, you don't have to elect yourself ultimate humanitarian just cuz the puppy's cute, someone else will come along for it...FYI: save yourself the trouble, dogs equal much less riding time.

See my original post.....
I adopted my Pitt and your correct they do put down pitt mixes because of the ideas which have been put into people head about them....
Only proper place like the north shore animal shelter(where i got mine) which do extensive background checks before allowing you to not only take any/ but pittbulls home...ensure that they will not be misused and mistreated

If some one can give it a loving home then they should. Why should it go to the shelter?

Pits congrats on your new family member. Very cute.

If they can then by all means go for it providing they don't wind up keeping it out of pitty cuz they couldn't give it up quickly enough, but I know people that have adopted pets from shelters and rescue places as well and it was all good.

I agree with you but don't just put into to a shelter first. Finding a good home for it is the right thing to do. If I could I would have a dog right now.

It also means more exercise time for me to get back down to 115lbs...LOL! I am not electing to take the dog b/c I'm an all around humanitarian....in all honesty I don't know where I am right now in my life, but I know I'll provide a good home for the dog and that is all that matters. Dogs are only trouble if you let them be....like you! LOL!
