the devils played great vrs the rangers. Sucks they can only get up to play vrs them. they need to trade their players asap. Trade Marty to washington, trade elias to a west coast team. Gut the whole team start over. Kovelcheck fucked them

Facking guy turns the puck over twice in 15 sec, then trips on himself. Later tips a dump in from the other team for a goad for the other team. Not only does he suck, he is helping the other team. Then the facking lemmings who love him are defending him because he scored a goal. Yea he scored another for the other team too.

Atlanta... And on a mediocre team he was a superstar.. We picked him up, he didnt exactly do that great and then they sign him for a ridiculous amount of money... He still has more goals than anybody else on the team, so I don't understand all the bashing. I don't agree with Lou's decision to sign him long term. Devils fans seem to think that paying the guy more money than what he was worth is somehow going to make him infallible, and then criticize every mistake the guy makes.

For as bad as their offense is, the D is even worse.

Now that Atl doesn't have him, they are doing very well. This guy is a supposed 40+ a year goal scorer. This year for his 6.5M he is on track for 20 goals. He is a fuck up on the ice. In 2 years his salary goes to 10M a year and he is signed for 15 years...... He is the top scorer because you can see the team must have orders to feed him the puck. That is killing the rest of the team. Devs have always been a teams team, not a 'superstars' team like this pos is supposed to be. Dunno why they slapped the rest of the team in the face with him and his contract when they already have Parise (granted he's injured now).

What part of team sport don't you understand? The whole team is a joke. Parise was underperforming as well. I don't care how much the guy makes, he, along with almost everybody else on the team are not playing up to their potential. The defense is absolutely terrible. The team is controlling the boards like the last few years, which has been a big strength for them. Even if the team was being told to feed Kovy the puck, how is that HIS fault. This guy is getting a lot of the blame just because Lou decided to overpay him. It seems like Devils fans want to blame Marty and Kovy for everything. Face it, the Devils blow this year, the whole team. Every single one of them is not earning their paycheck, wether its 500,000 or 6.5mil.. I almost get the feeling they are doing it on purpose because they are disgruntled about the Kovy situation. Who knows, who cares.. Quite frankly I am just sick of hearing two guys getting blamed for a team with 18 or so other players on the bench who are playing just as bad or worse. Hedberg isn't a bad backup and he isn't doing any better. The DEFLECTION from the other night off Kovy's stick... Give me a break, it was a deflection near center ice, which then also took an unlucky bounce, and the goalie wasnt even in the net. Its not like he shot it into his own net... Any excuse to get on the guy no matter how irrational it is.

Umm, you do know Parise was playing injured the whole season before it was bad enough he had to stop, right? So he was essentially outplaying the 'superstar'.
Someone said the other day, "If you paid 100M for an airplane, you would expect it to FLY, right?"

You are starting to sound like a whiney rangers fan... maybe because the devils did what the rangers have done year after year.... Kinda sucks now that the roles are reversed, eh?

Sure Kovy sucks and isnt playing like a played that deserves 6.5mil, but nobody on that team is earning their paycheck.

Devs last season prior to kovy 34W/20L
Since kovys arrival, last season+this season+playoffs 22W/46L. Last season was 12W/14L after he arrived.

So what really changed? kovy killed the team $ wise and morale. He is a cancer to the Devs, thanks to Lou, for 15 years.

So if someone doesn't play well, they trade them off asap. So who the hell is going to pick up a 100M contract thats 15 years long when the guy sucks ass. Killed all the cap money for the next 10 years.
