I just got back from the Honda Dealer Convention, and yes it's true there will be a new CBR1000RR. They had it under serious wraps, had to go through a security check to get into a private room to see it. I'm not allowed to say anything about it until it's oficial release on the 27th, but I will say that I am ordering significantly more than we did of the 2007.

IMO it doesn't look that good in the pictures, but hopefully it will look better in person. I Wonder why they scrapped the undertail exhaust?

Definetly not a fan of the vertical lines towards the front. But we'll see in person.

In all seriousness, I believe the designers were trying to emulate the side profile of the head & beak of the Peregrine Falcon, which also happens to be a very fast bird.

Wet weight is said to be 199 kilos, or approximately 438 lbs. with an output of 178bhp at 12k rpm.

honda is first to step up and no longer use the BS "claimed dry weight". The weight is taken 100% prepped with a full tank of gas
