Default wheels

Walking though the subway on my commute into work - I see a kid with pull-travel bag on light-up wheels. Pretty neat I thought, what a good way to keep the kids visible & safe.

It’s beach house time and I’ve got myself a share down in Belmar. When in Belmar, do as the locals do – DRINK! Spending all on drinks for the girls, can’t afford the cab ride home. DWI if caught drunk riding a bicycle, so I’ve got my skateboard.

The old skatewheels are small & hard for speed & tricks. Wider, softer skatewheels are used on longboards for a smoother ride. Inline rollerblades have the larger diameter, narrow wheels that can ride over most anything.

Hmmm, 1 + 2 + 3 = idea!

I got a set of 84mm lighted inline wheels & mounted them onto my skateboard.

So if you’re ever down the Jersey shore, be kind to the drunk skateboarding to Belmar from the Parker House - lighting up the ride home.

this season is a dissapointment. we used to rent the HUGE front house, now we're crammed in the back house bungalow. 5th week into the season, i've only been down 2x.

Ahh Belmar. I spent 17 summers there. I miss it a little. I will be headed down there soon for Tropical Pub drunk breakfast bingo soon..
I used to stay on Surf Ave between 17th and 18th.
When I saw you headed for the Parkway Memorial Day weekend, I figured you were headed for the Shore.
Watch out for the summer rental cops there, they're a PITA.

That one on the hand looks like it needs a stitch or 3 to close it up.

Gotta love self medicating

Age should not be a number but an attitude, it just sucks not being able to bounce back the way we used to.
