Ladies
what is it when you see a man with a wedding ring on..? this may not be all of you but i asked my wife, and she was wondering why i was getting picked up by girls here and there. me and my wife went out with a few friends of ours and im the only one married and i could have been picked up by several ladies. most of them say, OH YOUR MARRIED, but it didnt stop there, it went further. i know im not the best looking person nor am i the worst looking person. but what is it about married men.......? is it that there rrally no commitment..?
i dont know. e and my wife were trying to figure it out. but had no solution. well my wife did. but what else could there be.....?

I haven't realized that any girls notice the ring, though I do try to flash it! I've always thought it's the whole no commitment thing as well. Qood question though.

He said "ring", not "driveway jewelry".
And I've definitely had some female attention thrown my way since I got married close to 9 years ago. Before that, I couldn't get laid in a whorehouse with a fistful of 50's.

You're the safe bet, sort of like being the gay friend. Women will flirt with you to see if they can get a rise out of the "married" guy. Plus most guys will not take the bait and that is part of the challenge, the fliting is mostly safe and on their terms. Also it will piss off your wife and that too is a challenge to some women.

When someone see the wedding ring it becomes a challenge.

I'd have to say that this may be the closest answer....some women like the challenge, maybe they think if they can get him that he's "safer"=no VD's...then some of the other guys out there who are ho'ing around in the single life....or maybe they're just having fun flirting and that's all it is is a mutual ego boost...personally, that's the first thing I look at on a man...I'm not going to waste my time/breathe/energy on someone not available...bein that they're married....they might be cool as friends to hang out w/ and ride or whatever...but that's about as far as that will ever go. Same goes for guys who are already taken and/or emotionally unavailable (recently got divorced., just broke off their engagement..etc.) or the like. Also, I'd rather they tell me up front what they're "status" so I can actively look to find someone else to chat it up with who is actually available....and has potential. Just my 5 cents....

My cousin (Islandchick) is home on break from vet school and whenever she and I go out for dinner and drinks she always has her engagement ring on. Shortly after we grabbed a drink at the bar I met a nice female while my cousin was on the phone with her fiance and when I asked her if I can call her later she gave me a look of surprise and sternly responded "I don't think your future-wife would appreciate that too much?!". I laughed and told her it was my cousin who's engaged to my friend and that we were just hanging out together, then she became a bit more upset because she thought I was lying to cover my ass. I had to get my cousin to come over to confirm it for me.
