Migraine Rant
They fucking suck. I get them a few times a year and always have to throw up 3-5 times before it completely disappears. No lights, no noise and the fucking hot flashes suck ass too! I fucking hate them. I popped my Imitrex pill too late and lost that in the toilet along with 2 Excedrin Migraine pills, which don't really work for me. The Imitrex would have, but I wasn't about to snatch it back. I'm done now.....
BTW, thanks for the flowers biscuit!

I feel ya. I get about one a year. Last one I got I had to go to the hospital. The doc gave me 2 vicodin and 2oz of benadril and basically said there ain't shit they can do, just relax and wait for the pain killers to kick in...if they'll even help.

Well I can distinguish a regular headache from a migraine, but I need to catch it in time for the Imitrex to work. I recently tried this medication and it worked for me, except for this time....it was too late.... But once I puke a few times, it goes completely away.

Migraines are the worst...Don't know how true it is, but I read somewhere there is a presure point in the fleshy part of the hand between your thumb and pointer finger, and that putting presure(like a pinch) between the front and back part of the hand helps get rid of headaches. Could be just a myth, but I do it anyway, lol.

Well if I don't hold my head through the pain, it's worse. So I don't think trying the pressure points will do justice for me. I've had these damn things all my life and thank god they are sporadic because they are fucking awful. The pain gets so great then I puke, than try to relax and it's deja vu. I hate it, but the Imitrex did work, it's just a bitch trying to catch it in time. Not for nothing, but this couldn't have come at a better time too. I've got a final in my Law class due tomorrow and I'm trying to finish this fucker now. It would have been done earlier....bastard migraine!!!

That's the natural response but you never know till you research it and try, you might get lucky.

My mom is usually at the emergency once or twice a year due to migraine headaches...unfortunatly she has had them ever since my birth...how ironic. This past summer she suffered signs of a stroke but it was found the that serious migraines can send false signals to the brain causing the symptons of a heart attack or stroke...she usually has them every day or every other day....she has been through all the tests and still cannot find a cure...right now she currently takes imitrex but also has a larger dose of it in injection form if the headache continues to get worse.

I get them about once a month. I try and sleep through them. I do get nauseas, and there can't be any bright lights. If I can catch in time I take Axert. It seem to work as long as long as I catch it. The last one I got one I stayed in bed for most of the day.
They SUCK!
