Default June 10th Sunday Ride- Bear Mtn, Grand Prix go-kart event (possible Mini-moto nxt yr)

Sunday, June 10th
Meet time 8:30am at Rockefeller Lookout (1st scenic point, 1 mile north of Exit 1). If you're coming from NY/GWB please FILL UP ON GAS at the sunoco station on Pip right when u get off the gwb. if you're coming from jersey, gas up locally before getting on the Pip.

We will ride up to the Bear Mtn area, go over the Bear Mtn Bridge, then loop back to Mt. Vernon in NY for lunch at the Grand Prix event there. They have a go-kart race (free) and there will be tons of vendors there. They will set aside a whole block of parking for our bikes. We need to go and show the mayor that there is a large rider community out there who will support a mini-moto event next year in conjunction with their go-kart event, as well as a full sized bike show later this year in Mt. Vernon.

Pace will be moderate, riders of all levels are welcome! Safety comes first. Please wear your gear!

Please post if you're in for the ride so I can relay on the message to the Mt. Vernon commissioner who will set aside parking for us and have the mayor expect our presence.

meeting place is changed. Meet time 8:45am at Rockefeller Lookout (1st scenic point, 1 mile north of Exit 1). If you're coming from NY/GWB please FILL UP ON GAS at the sunoco station on Pip right when u get off the gwb. if you're coming from jersey, gas up locally before getting on the Pip.

Lets say we get up to Bear Mtn around 9:45ish, ride around 106 and back to tiorati drive then a quick stop , then up to perkins for a rest, then up 9w and back, then cross bear mtn bridge and head back to grand prix in mt vernon. we should be there around 12 noon or 1pm for lunch.

the go kart racing is not free to ride, its free for spectators. however, any business can buy in on a go kart and have their own people race it all day. i hope to do a mini moto event with them next year but if not, i can always sponsor a go kart next year and you guys can fight amongst yourselves to race.

the grand prix is on gramatan ave and 1st street in mt vernon. if you meet us there, tell the security guard you are part of the show and commissioner myers approved some bikes to park by the classic cars.

again, the ride pace will be moderate. and wear your gear!

PM me if you need my cell #
