hot day / local rides / going to more of a social gathering than riding - helmet, mesh jacket, jeans, gloves, sidi boots.

dedicated rides - the above with 2 piece leathers...but now that i got a 1 piece, i'll probably start wearing those to break them in for trackdays.

my opinion on this is that one should wear all their gear that they've bought and should buy the best stuff that one can feasibly afford. my next item i'll be adding to all rides will be a good back protector comfortable enough for both types of rides. when i go down, i don't want to have any regrets for not wearing gear i left at home or gear i "should've, would've, could've" bought.

Definitely a gear-rocker! Since I've been riding, I've always worn a jacket, helmet and gloves (except when I was waiting for them to be shipped in, or a short ride around the block). But since I went down last year (wearing capris) I've added full legges pants, boots and knee/shin guards to that list. I got some messed up looking knees and the road rash sucked balls....I would never want to get my skin scrubbed again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gear is cheaper than skin!

I'm always geared up head to toe.

Everytime I take the bike out, without exception, I'm wearing at least the following:

1. Leather jacket
2. Mesh/textile pants
3. Helmet (duh)
4. Gloves
5. Boots
6. Back protector

For "dedicated" rides where I don't plan on stopping much, #1 and 2 is replaced by a 1 piece suit. Actually, I'd rather just wear the suit more often if I can help it, but there are times I do plan on stopping and walking around, and it's kinda hard to do that in a suit.

Murphy says that the day you leave your leather
at home is the day you are most likely to need it.

Road rash really sucks even if it is just a small area.
Gear up folks.
