Default 06 R6 INFO

So last week my partner and I picked up our 06 r6s. It's amazing to think that we were told we would have them in Feburary, so much for the local dealers. We really need a change around here. I decided to put a full graves system and a power commander on it. Like the thing is'nt killer out of the box. I guess I just want to be cool. I found that the stock pipe sounds great. However when instaling the go fast bits I leared a few things about the r6. First the directions that came with the pipe were printed before the bike was relesed, so they were not to clear about what to do with the 02 sencer they said to just rerout the wire and screw the sencer into the new pipe. I, over thinking the scenrio, decided that the power commander would take over the sencers job and I left the sencer disconnected but pluged the hole in the new pipe whith the sencer. I fired the thing up and It ran like a raped ape. It being mother's day and all, I could not check to see if all was well. On monday I called Graves and It turns out that I was right. The bike runs better down low without the 02 sencer.

I'm assuming you're speaking of the R6, not the R6s.

I like Yamaha. But I'd still go with the R6s instead of the new R6, maybe I still need time for the shorty pipe to grow on me!

The "s" is an excellent choice for the street, cheaper too...the average rider won't even use it's full potential either.

I was talking to a daisy fresh rookie on the "R6" last week. Asked him how he liked the new setup with the suspension, exhaust, electronics and chassis...he had no clue what I was talking about, said he bought it cuz it had a "killer redline"...go figure.
