that's sweet cakes....they don't sell it with fairings? That's strange. How much are fairings?

Nope, the sv is a naked bike...Don't remember off hand, I had Omar order eveerything and slap em on before I picked it up...OEM full fairing might of been somewhere around $400-500 area me thinks.

The SV's nice but the front suspension's gabbbaaaaaaggge...then you'll have to dish out more cash to beef up the front end so it can handle your weight properly.

The Busa's fine, for someone who likes straight lines and occasional twisties, they aren't exactly the easiest bikes to throw over in the turns.

I'd say stick with a nice 1000cc sportbike for the street, something that has a sturdy fully adjustable suspension and the power to keep you moving along, but if you keep dropping weight you might not even need a 1000.

fully adjustable front end, infact I think its the same front end as the gix 6...its fine. And its the same motor as the TL...ton of grunt.

He's a big boy, that front end will be way too soft for him even with the settings maxed out. If he's willing to dish out the extra cash for a rebuild then that's a different story.

at 233...I'm shooting for 200-210...plus I'm 6'2" and a large frame already so I think I don't want anything smaller than a 1000...unless 750's are pretty much teh same size. I really like the TL more than a gixxer.

Hes 233 like he stated...I'm 210'ish and there was still plenty of adjustment left, now go lay down.

gix 6, 750, and 1K are all pretty much around the same in physical appearance, member Gigantic is 6'-7" and rides a 750.

guys, I own a 1k SV and use every bit of the frontend living in Sussex county and always spiritly rding the twisties. I do plan on setting up the frontend but the stock one seems pretty good to me. I am 6'5 and 275

You're still about 20 lbs lighter, and much smaller than he is, body frame wise...I've been sitting down...and stop trying to sell him your bike.

sometimes they get so caught up at looking at you they forget where they're doing. at a stoplight i have to remind the cagers that they have a green arrow to proceed. i point at them, then point to the green arrow. the sheepishly look forward and drive away

That may be true, but the frame specs might be totally different from one to the next regarding rigidity. I know Honda's are like that, the 600RR's frame has a far less ridgid feel than the 1000RR on the track regarding track testing, I'll have to read up on the gix specs.
