Default Nicky Hayden

*** Official Hayden Fan Excuses for 2007. ***
1- He's distracted because everyone wants to talk to him.
2- Fairing is too small.
3- Rossi is testing new parts, making his bike faster.

4- I'm too busy watching NASCAR.

Champ or chump, what does it matter??? Atleast he has the talent to be there, unlike you talentless fuckers. Always looking for a way to bash someone to make your insignificant self feel better in the world. You guys are fucking rediculous................................

I wish he was doing better, but I'm not going to bash him.

What I read is that his riding style is not suited to the new 800cc bike. Nicky was a dirt tracker and his style was more aggressive of backing and sliding it in and powering off the corner, something that he could get away with on the 990cc bike.

The 800's seem to reward riders that maintain higher and more consistent corner speeds due to their lighter weight and slightly lesser HP. Something that guys coming off the 250's not too long ago seem to do well with (i.e. Stoner, Pedrobot).

Well the real talent of a true skilled rider is being able to adapt in all situations. Not that Nicky isn't a skilled rider.

Okay, so I'm a Hayden fan, but I can't help reminding everyone
that all Rossi had to do to win the championship in 2006 was to
keep his bike on two wheels....

Some First Time Champions that did not repeat after winning their first GP Championship. This is in recent history. They were some of the world's best riders. I'd say Nicky is in pretty good company.

2000 Kenny ROBERTS Jr. (USA), Suzuki RGV500 GP 500
1993 Kevin SCHWANTZ (USA), Suzuki RGV500 GP 500
1986 Eddie LAWSON (USA), Yamaha YZR500
1983 Freddie SPENCER (USA), Honda NS500 GP 500

At this level the talent is tremendous and the competition is fierce. Kevin Schwantz won only 1 championship and never repeated. He's still one of the greatest American riders to ever throw a leg on the bike. Max Biaggi who's never won a title in the premier class is doing quite well in WSB. Nicky Hayden is arguably the best American rider in premier class.

So you argument why Hayden isn't competitive this year is "Nicky sucks, Rossi rules?"

Dude, Rossi is probably the greatest GP champion, having won a championship in all classes and 2 different manufacturers in the Premier class. You can't compare him to Hayden. You'd have to compare him to the all-time greats like Agostini, Doohan, or Hailwood in order to be in the same ballpark. Hell, I'm a Rossi fan. All I'm saying is it isn't all that easy to win a championship and repeat the year afterward.

I wasn't making any arguement I was just asking why Rossi was left out of the equation.

I already knew everything you just stated

I was just wondering why Rossi wasn't included in some of the worlds best Riders
