The interviews on the MotoGP website say it best. Honda had no team orders, Pedrosa rode as if Nicky was someone to eliminate. Edwards rode to protect Rossi.

Honda likes putting more pressure on their riders and keeps them racing against one another. I know the MotoGP video said they are rivals, but damn, "team" should mean something this far into the championship...

Messed up for Pedrosa to ride like that, 21 years old and lacks maturity. It showed yesterday for sure.
