No, there are a bunch of whiners here. It's bumpier than most tracks, but the fun factor outweights the surface. Besides, places with a nice layout and wide surface like Mosport have every last frickin corner laced with a bumpy concrete strip thats worse than any part of pocono.

Pocono isn't that bad, it's better than most of the roads I ride so the bumpiness was never a big deal. Having said that, I only rode there after they repaved the section before the bus stop (Pocono East).

it's not that bumpy, just seems to have a gotten a bad rap
no worse than many other tracks that people don't seem to bitch about
it's a ton of fun
one of the guys I work with did his first day at VIR, then a few more there and Summit. When he finally decided to do a day at Pocono, lots of people warned him that he's been ruined by going to nice tracks first, and that Pocono is such crap, he's going to hate it especially since he's been to the other better tracks, etc
well he reluctantly signed up for a Pocono day due to convenience and the need for a track fix, and at the end of it said he had a great time! He actually really liked it and is planning on doing many more days there!
so once again, shut up and ride
once you do it, you will so kick yourself for not doing it earlier

People need to bitch about something.

I like pocono east. Good layout and it's a great track for learning.

The problem with Pocono isnt the surface....its the need for a MX bike if you go off the track.....

I think both times I was on Pocono east I was on my old 96 zx6r, and both 2 years ago, the one day I scheduled last year was the ice storm.

To me it seems like every time I was setting up for a turn, there were the bumps, and the bike really wasnt happy about it. It may be a better experience on a slightly newer bike (without a leaking fork seal).

I do like the layout though and I want to give west a try and I am sure I will do east again.. As much as I like Beaver/VIR, I can't do those 5+ times a year anymore...

Seriously, it's not that bumpy. I think the east course layout is kinda crappy but it's not that bumpy.
