i had the same problem with my 00 gsxr 750. wiggle your wire harnesses around. thats what fixed mine. i eventually wound up taping them up real tight, it was just a loose crappy connection. however while i was researching my problem, i read that it was traced to the starter button on some bikes. something with faulty wiring. the lights come on with the key, then are cut off when you hit the starter to put the voltage where you need it until the bike is started. (i think...i'm terrible with electronics and very impatient with anything dealing with more than two wires). anyway - maybe take that apart and check all the connections? but if you are covered under warranty - stealership it up. good luck man keep us posted.
