Hey John,
Did you have the tank lifted at all? If so make sure that the fuel line is not kinked. This will happen if you just put the tank back down and do not push down on the fuel line while lowering the tank. This has happened to me and that is how I know and it felt like it was hitting a wall around 9K-10K rpms and would not rev past that. Once I checked the fuel line and found that it was kinked and fixed it wala, returned to normal reving to redline with no problems.
