Track day gloves question? and others
Do gloves have to conform to any regulations for the track? I.E. certain length, material, certain protection? Not that I would but could i wear motocross gloves on the track?
What about pants do they have to be leather or is textile alright?
does helmet have to be Snell approved?
Has to be 360 zipper for attaching pants to jacket right?
Just want to make sure I buy the right stuff, I am upgrading all my gear and want to make sure i buy the right thing.
Thanks guys

You need leather gloves that go past your wrists (gauntlet). Leather pants, and if it's not a one piece then yes you need a 360 degree zipper. If you don't want to buy the same type of jacket/pants, you can buy a zipper separately and get it sewn on to match up.
I believe Snell is required for most orgs, but it will at the very least need to be a full face helmet. You'll also need to buy a hard shell back protector separately, the foam crap in your jacket won't cut it. Over the ankle boots are also required.

Not required for most orgs at Novice level but highly recommended. Also get a chest protector too.

Good rule of thumb........when riding your sportbike at WELL above sane public road speeds, it's not wise to try and see how little you can get away with protecting yourself.
