Beaverun Follow-up:
What a great weekend, great weather, great people, great track! Cakes, good to meet ya. I also met a few others, John, Ant (i think). Thanks for the advice on the new tire.
Saturday was my first day in Red. I was running somewhere between 1:11 and 1:09...with a 1:08.8 best. Sunday, with a newwww rear I was running 1:08s to a tired 1:06.1 best. And a bump to Blue for myself and pit buddy Shawn. Blue is fantastic, with a lot of fun battles going on and a couple of sickkk fast dudes. (that i saw) Dude in red/black suit with silver name on back, dude on the blue/red gixxer. It was greeat with the exception of some guy passing me at the last second on the inside of T9 and pushing me wide at 120+ mph. Its hard enough to get the thing turned there but then to be pushed wide, I came to within an inch of the grass, my demise, and shitting myself.
I left after one afternoon session...exhausted. My legs were tired all day Sunday and showed I really need to get back to the gym.
Can't wait to get back to Beaverun. Anyone heading to the WERA races this weekend at Summit??
