Rape scandal @ Duke
This story is all over and I know the media just runs with everything and anything for viewers...and I can sympathize for the woman who was allegedly raped and I hope justice is served...but I think they are making a big deal out of this because of the school/University.....I think the bigger scandle or surprise is that its actually Duke as supposed to the actual rape that took place....in any event I am sick of hearing about it....as it is that school gets all the national TV time during basketball season.....
That school has deep pockets and I am sure they will make it all go away.

I hope justice is served too.... but i do know Reade personally and i'm telling you he would'nt do this. Maybe someone did do it.. but we'll all come to realize that Reade did NOT do it and that the media just ruined another persons life.

If he is innocent then he has nothing to worry about...then again you never know, looks like everyone wants a conviction....innocent till proven guilty, good luck to him. I hear you about the media, they will keep pouring salt on this wound for time to come especially since it's having to do with Duke University.

yeah you should see essex fells (my town) it's a mad house with media. It's just really sad for the family there really devoted to their kids, there kids are amazing at sports and have always been good oustanding individuals. Plus you should see how hot Reade's girlfriend at school is... I bet you could find a dozen girls raped the same day at different colleges and it will never become as big of an obsesssion as this did.

Way to much airitme on this like I know rape is a big deal and all but why is this story running in front of our soldiers dying over seas. We should pay tribute to them before we think of plastering a damn rape scandal on the front page. The media in this country is un f'ing believable. My 2 cents

Along those lines about Justice being served, if this turns out to be a Tawana Brawley type hoax story in the pursuit of a payday, she should also be punished for wasting everyone's time.
If she was truly victimized, then let the justice system do its job. Watching it on the news will not make the trial come any faster than next year.

Rev...they did have a bodyguard with them but supposedly he just waited in the car. Having been involved in personal protection work in the past I can assure you that is not standard practice and I highly doubt its legitimacy.

question
There are two important questions to be asked... number one is why would a respected prosecutor who is up for re-election put his neck out on the line and accuse these two kids if it mean's his career (which it sure does)
but then the next question is ... the defense would never publicly leak information like ATM reciepts showing alibies for the two boys and photographic evidense proving that there not there without CONCRETE evidence (they would'nt it would be too detrimental to the case if they did)
so.. it comes down to one thing.. who rushed to judgement and whois wrong?
