Drunk Chick Tazered

I think she might be down for the 10 count...I think they were to quick to use the tazer, no need for it.

We don't know what happened prior but on the face of it, the tazering seems a little hasty.

Real hasty. She was handcuffed and there was 3 officers. They just didn't feel like dealing with her at that point. But regardless, she could have been seriously hurt from that fall. I knew someone that died by cracking their head open during a fall. She could have easily been overcome manually. A tazer wasn't needed.

Love tazer vids.
The officer went to pick up the chair before he went to pick her up off the floor.

Being that I am probably the only one here who has "taken the ride"(been shot with a tazer) I have to disagree.
Her speech and body language suggests that her antics were only going to intensify. Had they had to manually restrain her the odds of inflicting harm to her are far greater.

I've been hit by a tazer and a few stun guns (2 weeks ago being the most recent), that doesn't qualify me as an expert on human behavior, just someone who knows that getting hit by a stun gun isn't all that bad when it's over. I agree that her antics were only going to intensify, she's drunk and she started to freak out. But no one said being a cop was easy. I think they put her life in much more jeopardy than any danger present to them at that moment by jumping the gun so quickly. There wasn't any immediate threat to them, their office equipment, yeah. I also think suspects should be in cages. She wasn't listening and being non cooperative, but she was basically running away.

....yes!
He walks in, "Check out what I got for Christmas. CLICK CLICK CLICK."
So I immediately know what the next few minutes are going to hold so I just said, "Fine"
Then he stuck me in the ribs with it and laughed. The clicking was more intimidating then the actual shock. I have a video of it some where.

What?! You know you ma boy but c'mon, she was cuffed. They could of definitely taken her down by using anyone of the numerous pressure point tactics.

I did not say that I was an "expert" in human behavior. Having studied behaviorial psychology and been through law enforcment training I do have a pretty decent understanding of it...

Very true but I can assure you that it is much easier to do permanent damage through a pressure point then a tazer.

[happy gilmore]...that is information I could HAVE USED YESTERDAY!!![/happy gilmore]
I'm not on board with the pressure point thing though, just that people drop like logs when tazered and the potential for her to whack her head off something was pretty high vs her pulling out some round house kicks and taking out all three of them and stealing the 30lbs of heroin in the evidence room.
