Sorry dude, back in the day I considered that bike and bought a 91 F2. When I sold it 50K+ later I never regretted it. I did get a chance to demo a cb750 later and thought it wasn't bad, but it wasnt me.

I just found this post, and it's funny cuz Cakes (Joe) was just telling me that this one was still empty cuz no one in here rides that type of bike?!
Well I can still say that I rode a '92 for many years. Picking it up in '96 with 850 miles on it, converting it to a cafe' racer and ending it with about 37K.
Is your bike stock?

I heard that bike with open pipes on it.....EwWwWwWwWw. It just dosen't have the cam overlap to make it sound good. It needs baffles.

Those baffles seemd to have a lot of restriction when I removed the heavy 4-into-2 stock exhaust, and there's a good chance your carbs are running lean due to the work you did on the baffles, better synch them if you haven't done so yet to save the motor.
Also I'm not sure how hard you ride that bike but if you're looking for rubber with much better performance than the stock ones pick up Dunlop D205ZR's, 110-80-18 & 140-80-17, they stick like glue in the twisties. Avon also has a matching set and perform just as good if not better than the Dunlops but I didn't get the chance to run them.
If you want to get a bit more performance out of the motor install either a stage 1 or stage 3 jet kit with the K&N, as well as a K&N crank case breather, it'll give you a nice throttle response with your new custom pipes.
What kind of oil are you running?

You are not alone. I'm riding and FZ1 and commute as often as I can. There is nothing wrong in riding and Old man's sport bike. I have fun on the twisties and am happy to be out there.!

I have 2 V65 Magnas one 83 and one 84 that I use for all my long hauling and cruising back and forth to work and until Honda makes a real power cruiser that is all I will ride on vacation and communting,as much as I like my 929 no place for the Tbag and gear for a 10 day trip.

I said POWER cruiser not cruiser, sorry but ran across too many with my Magna and at only 600 lbs that 21 year bike chews those things up,they don't handle as well and vibrate too much so I guess I should say a real V4 power cruiser.
