Default ICE your Cell Phone

I read this on another board and felt that it should be passed on to the whole MC community.

This is not a bad idea.....ICE your phone now!!!

>
>Paramedics will turn to a victim's cell phone for clues to that
person's
>identity. You can make their job much easier with a simple idea that
>they are trying to get everyone to adopt: ICE.
>
>
>ICE stands for In Case of Emergency. If you add an entry in the
contacts
>list in your cell phone under ICE, with the name and phone no. of the
>person that the emergency services should call on your behalf, you can
>save them a lot of time and have your loved ones contacted quickly. It
only
>takes a few moments of your time to do.
>
>
>Paramedics know what ICE means and they look for it immediately.
>Hopefully they'll never need it, but ICE your cell phone NOW!

Yeah, it can never hurt -- just in case.... And let's not forget the little contact info pockets that are available -- they have adhesive so you can stick them either inside your helmet, or under your seat/cowl. Even if you've "iced" your cell phone, it can't hurt to make sure your info is in an additional spot.

Nice find Nick....I have a friend on another board that is a Paramedic and he posted up an word doc a while back with some great info on what to do if you have a rider go down in your group. Let me get the OK from him and I will post that up as well.
