Default Woman's track day boots

My wife is actually considering a track day in the future. She currently has these Oxtar Sunray boots...

Would something like the above be acceptable for a first track day? Full race boots would be best of course, but there is not a big selection for women's race boots.

Those boots are perfectly fine for the track. TPM usually requires that the boots cover the ankle.

Check out Alpinestars. I bought my boots from them 3 years ago. They have a nice line of gear for women.

They're fine. They have some ankle armor, which is good. Like Qetesh said, check out Alpinestars. I currently have a pair of Supertechs. They have a hard innerboot, and come in some smaller sizes.

Thanks for the feedback!

Looks like Sidi and A* do make some women's "race" type boots, like the Sidi Vertigo and the A* SM-X R. Any suggestions which would be the better boot for protection?

Both are good, whichever one fits HER best. Hope she has a great time!
