Question 2004 bike with about 11k miles

e item: 4647695325
ending at about 5pm today (Friday)

What do you guys think of a used bike with about 11k miles on it? I don't have money to buy this, but I'm curious about whether or not it would be a good buy.

Well you don't know the price until it's actually sold. So whether or not it's a good buy I don't know. The buy it now is $9k. I can't see spending that much on a bike when there are a ton of great buys out there for 5k - 6k.

I wouldn't spend more than 7500 for the 2004. The 2005 as far as I can tell is pretty much the same as the 2004. MSRP for this bike is about 11k. How much would one take off the price of a bike for the 11k miles?

There are bikes on the market for less, but this happens to be the style I like, and I'm debating whether or not to go for it. I like the exhaust style, and it didn't start until 2004.

I would suggest sitting on them and making sure you are comfortable. There was a huge difference between the 636 and '02 R1. It fit me better so I got it. I also like the looks of the '04 - '06 but from what I read about the power and the torque, the '02 fit my riding style the best.

Personally I wouldn't pay 9k for that bike. Take a look on the R1 forum (r1-forum.com) if you are serious. There are a number of 2004's - 2006's going for less with a lot fewer miles.

Yeah I definitely wouldn't pay 9k for it. I think stock '04s are worth about 7k, but I still can't afford that right now, I'm still on the lookout though
