I wonder what they found out of compliance with the crank? Those rules leave alot on the table. They dont say anything about lightening the crank only that the balancing procedure must be the same as OEM.

races to win the Championship; no guarantee of that happening but
in view of past performances it's a pretty sure thing...

DMG got nothing to do with tech right now, these are the existing AMA rules. The new tech guy was on a privateer team last year and is looking real hard at everything.

Let's see Nascar has 40+ cars fields on all 3 series and just about sells out the grandstands every weekend from February to November. The last place qualifier has a chance to win the race. Sponsors are backed up to get a spot anywhere in the series. If we had a bike series like how would it be a bad thing?

AMA has factory teams with parts no other team can use or buy, Jordan has the money but they won't let him buy the factory parts. Each race is a run away by the factory team and it just luck that a privateer can break into the top 5. Super bike had the same team that won the every race in the past few years. They wonder why they don't have fans. I'll watch Spies and Hacking race scooters for all I care as long as it fair race.
