To safety wire it.
But John, please tell me you didn't go strait from one end to the other...that'll take forever. Just gotta make one hole one both sides of an edge until the meet.

More like in 1/8th the time
Come to think of it...you wont be able to get it snug to the bolt and it'll still be able to loosen. With the bolt in place you mark the edge that when you safety wire it, it can't back out.

Oh..I pictured you sitting there drilling into it ...the other way...as in like, it was stripped or stuck or something....
Well, that makes much more sense now. Cool. Congrats. My bike came safety-drilled, but I've still never done a track day.

Hmm, I did, took about 10sec. Then again, I did it in the middle of an oil change when the plug was off and in a press. Guess you have to think ahead more than 10 sec ...............maybe 4 hours?

You could have eliminated it entirely for about $15, and had a lighterweight aluminum replacement

Great $15 for a plug with holes in it.. I'll buy it.
I did want to get one with a magnet in it too.
