both bikes are very very capable bikes, yamaha is known for track steadiness as suzuki is know for power. i got a chance to try out both bike and i gotta say they are not that far apart, with stock setting on suspension both bikes are lovely to handle. only thing that is a bit disappoint to me is that yamaha made a bike that was suppose to hit 17.5 but didnt and on top of that doesnt have any extras like the gixxer does. gixxers hava the digi-indicator and stock steering damper. yet cost less than the r6. its going to become personal preferance when picking up either one. i would only take the gixxers cause it doesnt use TPS yet, i like new technology but until its been in the market for a couple of years im not willing to be the guinea pig
