We ride and drive in this state, we should already know what to expect. We have to be aware of everything around us. It's good if at least we don't get a ticket for passing by stand still traffic when it's so easy for motorcyclists to get through.

I have to agree here...drivers are oblivious as it is, people will see bikes lane splitting and not know whats going on. They would need to somehow draw attn to it like spraying a mini lane on both sides of the dotted line.
