Addressing your original question about people staring, I don't think it matters what your gender is. I like to believe that people stare because they are envious that someone other then them is riding
Plus, the machines and all the mods you can do to your scoot are so sweet looking that you just have to stop and enjoy the view
I stare because as a rider, I love the sport and everything it embraces
