dont have it in my hands yet....being shipped to a local ffl dealer. private sale. could not pass it up for the price. but yea its a small frame. im sure the recoil is gonna have a nice punch to it.

PitsVtec 03-22-2006 11:45 AM

Ugh....I've shot .45 magnums before and hated them. Too much for me! Be careful with it!

Looks like those pics are near to if not actual size, makes for a nice carry piece, I'd take that over a .40 any day for stopping power.

jcblitz 03-22-2006 12:03 PM

Dude, have you shot a short 1911 yet? My brother has a 4" and that's the shortest I'd go in a 1911 .45. I'm getting a full 5" when I pick mine up, and I'm going to get a polymer .40 for my compact. But if you got a sweet deal on it...you can never have to many guns.

Kennedy 03-22-2006 12:08 PM

Damn Chris you were right...nice gun...looks like a good CC weapon...

duc748pilot 03-22-2006 12:12 PM

no, I'm going to get a usp. Does the XD have a decoker? I haven't looked in a while, but when I was in the market one of them I looked at didn't have a decocker, that's a no sale on a compact for me. But I don't remember what gun it was. Also, I dont want that palm saftey on a compact either.

Rev 03-22-2006 12:28 PM

wow 45 cal in that little thing..i think my best friend has that same one...he's a cop in etown and he uses that for his off duty...

No, neither does the glocks, but there are some with internal hammers that do have a decocking feature.
