That is a good price..I paid $30 last year for a set for my track bike. I'll be buying some in the next couple months....for sure.

hmm, exactly what I need (and the right price)...

what are the pros/cons of the rivet vs slip on types?

sonny 09-09-2007 08:59 AM

What are these for?

Cakes206 09-09-2007 09:01 AM

Hold the upper and lower race fairings together mainly, but can be used for other things too.

Highly recommend buying from Dan. Great prices and crazy fast shipping.

I got them to mount my draft shield. Don't trust those plastic pop rivets.

Honestly....the only difference between the 2 types (Rivet or Slip-on) is the ease of installation and individual preference.

Slip-on....You only need a drill (preferably a unibit) and a few more minutes of your time...(Quick Installation)

Rivet....A drill as well (preferable a unibit), a rivet tool and some rivets. It takes a little bit more time to install but it's a professional looking application. The fasteners (Rivet Receptacle) does not move around and it's a nice clean look.

Thanks JIMMY...Great Application!

By the way...The hole size for the rivet hole is 1/8. I use Aluminum 1/8 Rivets...3/8 Long.

I also sell a bag of rivets for a buck ($1)....enough to do two sets of the Rivet Type Fasteners.
