Vet Tech?

My gf is looking to get a regular job since her summer job (teaching kids to ride horses) is at an end. She'd like to get something related to her love and knowledge of animals (which her intended degree is Stable Management), so she though of trying to become a vet tech.

Is anyone here a vetrinarian, or know one who might be looking for help? Union County area preferred, we're in Westfield. If there are any other jobs available in a related field, please let me know - thanks!

I shot a friend of mine a PM about this, his wife works in the vet field so I will see what she knows or can do.

Perhaps not... her horse trainer's stable is in brooklyn, and she'd have dedicated parking (only safe place in NYC for my bike, imho). I'll find out if she wants to go in regularly to brooklyn, then I'll get in touch - thanks for all the help everyone :D
