2005 SV1000s Dyno Results
2 Attachment(s)
Had the SV1000 on the dyno, #'s we felt were a tad low, but being completely stock was expected. Stock exhaust system really hold back some hp. Ron said to definitly get some slip ons cause this bike needs to breath. Result as is was 113hp. The torque side of the bike is real good, as expected from the twin's 500cc cyl's. Producing almost 60 ft. lbs. @ 3500 rpm and topping out at 71 ft. lbs. @ approx 7300 rpm. Definitely have to start savin for some pipes.

I bet you aren't complaining for stock. :P

The HP might be a bit low, but more importantly it's very smooth all the way thru the tach.

The power isn't low at all for Suzuki's sport twin. It's right on par with the later TLS's in fact!
I really need to get off my arse and travel the two blocks to get my TL's dyno'd. :banghead: |

What grade gas you runnin Cakes?? I only got 110 HP's at WCW when they did mine, and that was on Sunoco 93. I got the same exact torque though.

Desnorkel that biatch!

I'll have to try switching to regular and see what it does for me, besides save some coinage.

Running the 93 doesn't do you any benefits though... If you're gonna try it again clean and re-gap your plugs and you should go over cakes's 113. (take your airfilter out and you should also see a gain (dyno testing secret to over inflat results)) |
Cakes, I'll dyno my '03 when I put the pipes on -- maybe we'll do a WCW run.

actually it's smooth probably cuz he throttled it with ease...if he pinned it you would see the line jump almost straight up to the peak horsepower...with every line drop is where he shifted...The smoothness of the line going up really has nothing to do with performance... :nod2: |
learn to shift!
:P |
