To all you experts out there. How bad is that frame bend(from the clip on), does need to be rerplaced or it wont affect the bike handling???
Its a track bike so all I care is that it rides well.
Alsow is there a place where I can take the bike to have it checked?
THANKS

looks only like a ding mark to me. nothing serious. i had one on my Gix1000 before i sold it. ran perfectly fine. i even used it on my first several track days before i bought a track bike.

i know you can use twine, fishing line to see how bad "IF" the frame is out of wack by putting it around your front rim and bringing it to your rear tire on boths sides just as it touches the edge of the rear tire.

thanks +1
I will try that. Looks like just a ding to me as well. I should be fine.

There was a guy in NESBA that had a HUGE dent in his gixxer frame and he stil ran it with no problems. GMD Computrack (sp) can check it out/ straighten it out if necessary. (the frame, not the dent)

There's probably nothing wrong with it but most insurance companies would total your bike if the frame is at all dinged.

That was the case. They totaled the bike and I bought it with salvage title last monday. Other than that ding in the frame just need bodywork, rearset ,stator cover, clutch lever.....(All the parts on the way:nod2:) and Im good to go. Only 212 miles on it. Not even broken it yet- I guess I will do it at Calabogie next month:lol:
