Absolutely not. Close racing but not dirty.

Judgment call...you can see his head was turned slightly so he knew he was there and coming up on him hard...in turn made an erratic change in position. I'd like to see the laps prior, had he not been making the same move then its dirty IMO.

250's rule

pillaka 04-14-2009 03:22 PM

nope, guy behind was out of the front rider's peripheral vision. its his fault he didn't move over to compensate

IrocRob 04-14-2009 03:32 PM

I wouldn't say "dirty" racing, but definately a bad move.

RACING........ SHIT HAPPENS....... i dont see how the rider in the front saw him?? it was on the guy making the pass on that one...........but i am new to this.... and isnt blocking part of racing... i dont think it was dirty but maybe just not the smartest

MarioB 04-14-2009 10:04 PM

Not dirty in my book. He did make an erratic move but he can't be held accountable for what happens behind him. That's what happens when you brake the 3 foot rule...

Jake 04-14-2009 11:54 PM

rubbing is racing.. and I'd be a hypocrite if I said otherwise! :D

FDNYDANO18 04-17-2009 09:25 AM

Hector Barbera does shit like that all the time and is known for moves like that....just got some of his own medicine.....

lateapex 04-17-2009 01:17 PM

It was a blatant block move, which is fine but I'm sure he didn't intend to hit his brake lever. This happens often in bike racing. Swantz had it happen years ago and pancaked himself.

"criminal act!"

NYCSTRIPES 04-17-2009 02:05 PM

I am not buying the "criminal act" line there. Unfortunate yes, but intentional..I doubt it.

Cakes206 04-17-2009 03:10 PM

That was definitely an intentional blocking move...the ramifications were unfortunate though.

NYCSTRIPES 04-17-2009 04:00 PM

To clarify..yes I think me meant to block him...but not to intentionally cause that crash.
