Does this mean that the bikes will have 3 foot numbers on the sides and the riders will only wear out their left knee pucks?

I honestly think that this could be a good thing. The new owners will be able to leverage existing partnerships & resources to bring motorcycle racing to a new level in the US. You may hate Nascar but they get over 100,000 people to show up at every race that they put on... Imagine AMA racing even getting half of that number...

Just keep the redneck bozo crap out and we will be fine.

I agree with you 100%. I was reading the article on amaracing.com and they said that they were selling so the could focus on the rules and getting the divisions setup better. Plus they didn't want to waste the money trying to promote something that they haven't been doing a good job of.

I think its gonna be a great thing for racing and getting it more popular in the US.

I agree, I just hope they don't dumb it down like wrestling and nascar, just to get a bigger audience.

AMA couldn't possibly get any more 'dumbed down. Freakin bozo commentators and what is basically a Suzuki Fuckfest, there is better racing to be found fo sho , i have little hope for AMA but hey. it really can't get much worse so we'll see.

They need to bring back the 2 stroke 125 class from usgpru!

opinion914 03-07-2008 06:06 PM

and all series need to remove traction control

:drink: +1

I think it's a good thing. I really only see positives. This could launch the sport and coming from an industry guy, the industry needs all the help it can get right now.

What will be really interesting is the next AMA board meeting...can't wait to see what Ulrich has to say.

Well, the first change is a good one; Superbikes will be back in the 200.
