Too Hot In The Hot Tub!

So with all this heat whos still gearing up? :sun:

Rode last night for 1/2 hour with textile jacket, was drenched when I got home. Going to tool around tonight, was thinking of leaving the jacket at home. :squid:

Need to cool off:cheers:

& yes, at this very moment...i am bored at work

Ya man. I always wear, at the least, my Mesh Jacket no matter what. Well, after sweating my ass off yesterday on the way home from work, I decided today is gonna be a t-shirt day. Man I was so paranoid riding in this morning. Something always happens to ppl on the day they don't wear their gear.

I try to find an old pair of perforated aka worn and torn jeans to get some airflow to the legs. And I always wear the textile. I just leave it zipped 3/5ths way so you get a good air flow into it, and my non-armored fabric dirtbike gloves are barely a step better than nothing but a step nonetheless and they breathe very well.

Jay - good point about somehting happening for that 1o minutes when you aren't geared. I would feel like such an ass if I was layed up in the hospital with massive rash just because I didn't feel like sweating for a little awhile. It's not so bad as long as you keep moving. I guess it's different depending on which part of Jerz you're in, cause theres no way to avoid bits of traffic in North East/central NJ.

Gotta ask yourself(not you personally, but generally speaking)...what hurts less...getting gravel scrapped out of your skin, or wearing gear? I'll opt for the latter...too hot for gear, I simply won't ride...I'l stay comfy in the car w/ac

Well, my A/C in my Explorer crapped out a few months ago so I figured, if I am gonna sweat in my cage anyway, I might as well ride to work.

100% gear 100% time......Was riding in my vanson exo and draggin' jeans when it drops to 90ish i'll wear the 'stich

_Jay_ 07-18-2006 03:05 PM

Well I look at it this way. Even tho I wear gear 99.99% of the time and I didn't just for today, my ride to work is all highway riding. If I go down on the highway, last thing I am worried about is my skin disintegrating off my body. I'm more concerned with the NJ Transit bus that's doing 70mph on my ass and the woman in the lane next to me talking on her cellphone.

Pete, ur a damn squid now?! :squid:

Pick up a few of these shirts, they'll keep you nice and dry no matter how much you sweat.

yo africanbooty,
that thing looks pretty cool. do you wear that thing under a tshirt or something - or do you wear it over your shirt like a storm trooper? how does it work?
