legal coolant

so I'm thinking I wanna try my hand at a few races next season, most likely WERE events, and I'm wondering about coolant. I'm currently using Engine Ice in the track bike, and want to know if that's legal or if I have to switch to Watter Wetter. I read the rule book, and it didn't seem clear on this.

Engine ice is NOT WERA legal. Any glycol based coolant is strictly prohibited.

CCS on the other hand allows the use of engine ice. or water/water wetter

BTW: race ccs. hopefully a lot of their quirks will be worked out this season due to new owner/management. I had a blast at their event last season

CCS and WERA are both great organizations to race with. My suggestion is to get a license with both since it will allow you many race dates to choose from. Not to mention, if you have a WERA license, you can do the 6rh race at Summit in August (VERY FUN).

Anyway....just use distilled water and water wetter.

Just save some pennys and get one.....unlike the CCS license, the WERA license is good for a full year rather than a season.

we'll see i still have to send in my CCS app i'll see if i can come up with the change for my wera license too.

I know i'm going to ripped for this....I know I need distilled water but what the F is water wetter?

It is an additive that will help reduce the operating temps. of the bike. I believe it is made by redline and you can get it in just about any autoparts store.

Also helps in keeping the water pumped lubed.
