swingarm tool for suzukis

I was just wondering if anyone in the area had one I could borrow, before I take a dremmel to a 32 mm socket. I need one to get the swingarm off my TL. Then I will also see what I will need to get the triple tree off. Then I can fianlly get the stuff to the powder coater and start reassembly:ride:

Why not just go buy the tool?

buy a cheap socket and grind it. I did that when building my 1K. It works and is much cheaper.

The tool is like 60 bucks, ant...

Tommy... i think the torque spec on that thing is like 10ft/lbs, i just parted out my TLR... took a punch and a hammer, it was free in the 1st whack... its the easiest solution...

I just changed the pivots to +1mm (from +2mm) and remember going through the manual to get the torque settings...

The swingarm pivot shaft is 11ft/lbs, but the pivot nut is 72.5ft/lbs and the lock nut is 65ft/lbs.

My swingarm tool is just a modified socket. Works like a charm. :)

I tried the hammer/screwdriver trick but it didnt go. Sears has a 32mm socket for 8 bucks (its a craftsman and I paid 12 or 15 for the no name one I have now) so I iwll but that and grind down the one I have now. I was hopin gto avoid that but it seems like my best option right now. I also had to grind one down for one of the motor mounts. Being this ones much bigger it should be a little easier, plus its a good excuse to use the dremmel;)

Well I sacrificed a 32mm socket and it came off in a snap. Went through 2 and a half cutting wheels cutting the sections off. Now I just need to get the triple tree off and its off to the powdercoater:ride:
